Cataclysm: Soul Shards Changes

No more shards to summon players, pet, soulwell.
No more shards in the bag and don't need to farm shards any more. :)

Ghostcrawler: Warlock Q&A

Finally there is some Q&A for Warlock.

http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/underdev/warlock.html

Key message for the Soul Shards changes:
  • Not in 3.2
  • Shards provide a combat boost when needed without becoming a resource that needs to be farmed.

Happy to see the days of farming shards are ending SOON.

Which Warlock (2) Set Bonus You Like? T8 or T9?

Gul'dan Set (Tier 9 PTR)
(2) Set: Increases your pet's critical strike chance with its abilities by 10%

Source: MMO-Champion

Conqueror's Deathbringer Garb Set (Tier 8 Live)
(2) Set: Increases the damage done by your Unstable Affliction by 20% and your Immolate by 10%.

Personally, I prefer Tier 8 (2) Set Bonus, as it gives definite damage increase rather than "pet" critical strike chance. However, Destruction Warlock with Empowered Imp and Demonology Warlock with Demonic Pact will benefit most from the set bonus.

Which one you prefer?

Replenishment Warlock

Destruction Warlock can spend 5 points in 0/13/58 spec to bring Replenishment (via Improved Soul Leech) to the raid.

Replenishment gives 10 party or raid members 0.25% of their maximum mana every second for 15 seconds. It is recommended to have minimum one replenishment class for Ulduar 10 and two for Ulduar 25. The buff is especially helpful to healers.

Other choices are

Shadow Priest - Vampiric Touch
Retribution Paladin - Judgements of the Wise
Survival Hunter - Hunting Party
Frost Mage - Enduring Winter

Gearing up PVP warlock as Raider

Assume we already have iLvl 213+ PVE gears from Naxxramas Heroic, and the goal is to replace them with equivalent PVP gears from various sources. Below are possible options:

Purchase Non-Set Deadly Gladiator (Ring, Cloak, Waist, Wrist, Neck, Feet) gears using honor.

Fight in Wintergrasp and purchase Titan-forged (Waist, Chest, Trinket) gears with Wintergrasp Mark of Honor.

Defeat Emalon the Storm Watcher weekly in normal /heroic mode and hope Deadly Gladiator (Mainly Hands, Chest, Legs etc.) or Furious Gladiator (Hands, Legs, Ring, Cloak, Waist, Wrist, Neck, Feet) gears drop and you win the roll.

Purchase Deadly Gladiator (Mainly Head, Shoulder etc.) gears using Emblem of Conquest.

Purchase some of the best Gladiator gears if we ever play arena and hit 1300+ personal and team rating.

A Steamy Romance Novel: Northern Exposure

Fished up this book today and it appears interesting.

The tiny gnome peered over the railing
into the secluded Dalaran courtyard.

"The view from the balcony is
amazing, you have to come see!"

Armor legplates creaked as Marcus
walked over, taking in a deep breath
as he absently scratched his scruffy
chin.

"The Hero's Welcome is no slouch.
And there's something in the room that
might interest you."

Tavi bounded into the room, pausing
only a moment before jumping on the
massive bed. She turned to gaze at
Marcus with her huge saucer-like
eyes, narrowing them playfully and
replacing her glowing smile with a
diabolical grin.

"Interested in some company?" She
purred as her hands weaved through a
complex summoning ritual, stopping
only when she felt the warmth of a
new presence behind her.

All color drained from Marcus' face
as he struggled to protest. "I... I don't
think that's appropriate."

Confused, Tavi turned to see what
was wrong. A hideous fel hound stood
ready, drooling onto the floor as it
stared intently at the half-armored
paladin.

"No! No, that's not what I meant." She
stammered as she dispelled the hungry
demon. "I'm sorry, that's not really my
specialization."

Marcus took both her hands in one of
his and he reassured her. "It's fine.
What is your specialization?"

Her head snapped up, eyes burning with
renewed life as shadow energy
channeled through her hands into
Marcus, dropping him to his knees in
agony.

"Affliction, actually."
